These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pattern Calendar application (com.patterncalendar.app, the "App") provided by LakeSoft ("we", "us", or "our").

By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Introduction

These Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between LakeSoft and users in connection with the use of the App.

2. Service Description

Pattern Calendar is a local-first calendar and habit-pattern tracking application. It allows you to create and manage calendar events, patterns, tags, notes, images, and numeric statistics on your device, with an optional Google Drive backup and restore feature.

You can use the App without creating a Pattern Calendar account. We do not operate a server-side backend that stores your calendar data. The specific features and service scope may be changed, added, suspended, or discontinued at our discretion for operational, technical, or business reasons.

3. Required Agreement

Before using the App, you must review and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Your acceptance is stored locally on your device to remember that you agreed. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

4. User Obligations

When using the App, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Using the App for any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or unauthorized purpose

• Infringing or misusing our intellectual property rights or the rights of any third party

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App, related systems, or other users' accounts

• Uploading or distributing malicious code or other harmful materials through the App

• Deliberately disrupting, damaging, or interfering with the operation of the App

• Using the App in a way that violates applicable laws, regulations, or public order

5. Access Restriction and Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or use the App in a manner that may cause harm to us, other users, or third parties. We may also do so when necessary to protect the stability, security, or integrity of the App.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, trademarks, logos, and materials provided through the App are owned by LakeSoft or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content you create in the App — your events, patterns, tags, notes, images, and statistics — remains yours. Because the App is local-first, this content is stored on your device (and, if you choose, in your own Google Drive app-specific storage). We do not claim ownership of it and do not store it on servers operated by us.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you create through the App does not infringe the rights of any third party.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of your data. We are not liable for any loss of data stored on your device or in your Google Drive, including loss resulting from uninstalling the App, device failure, or deletion of backup files.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages, losses, interruptions, or failures arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, network failures, security incidents, third-party service outages (such as Google Drive), government actions, or other force majeure events.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice before the updated Terms take effect, unless immediate changes are required by law, security needs, or urgent operational reasons.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
