SnapAlbum - Terms of Service

Last Updated: 2026-09-04

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SnapAlbum application (com.snapalbum.app, the "App") provided by LakeSoft ("we", "us", or "our").

By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Introduction

These Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between LakeSoft and users in connection with the use of the App.

2. Service Description

SnapAlbum is a local-first camera and photo organizer application. It helps you capture photos and videos directly into selected albums, browse your device albums, and move, copy, delete, share, print, rotate, set wallpaper, and organize media on your device.

You can use the App without creating a SnapAlbum account. We do not operate a server-side backend that stores your photos, videos, albums, or personal settings. The App does not include a payment system.

The specific features and service scope may be changed, added, suspended, or discontinued at our discretion for operational, technical, legal, or business reasons.

3. Required Agreement

Before using the App, you may be asked to review and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Your acceptance may be stored locally on your device to remember that you agreed. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

4. User Obligations

When using the App, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the App for any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized purpose.

  • Capturing, storing, editing, sharing, or distributing content that violates applicable laws or the rights of any third party.

  • Infringing or misusing our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights of any third party.

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App, related systems, device storage areas, or other users' devices or accounts.

  • Uploading, sharing, or distributing malicious code or harmful materials through the App or through any third-party app used with the App.

  • Deliberately disrupting, damaging, reverse engineering, modifying, or interfering with the operation, security, or integrity of the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

  • Using the App in a way that violates applicable laws, regulations, platform rules, public order, or these Terms.

You are solely responsible for the photos, videos, albums, file names, metadata, and other content you create, store, edit, move, copy, delete, or share through the App.

5. Permissions and Device Access

The App may request permissions that are necessary for its core features, such as camera access, microphone access for video recording, photo and video library access, and wallpaper-related access.

You can choose whether to grant or deny permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work if required permissions are denied or revoked.

You are responsible for making sure that you have the right to capture, store, edit, move, copy, delete, print, set as wallpaper, or share any media you use with the App.

6. Access Restriction and Termination

Because the App is local-first and does not use SnapAlbum accounts, we generally do not manage individual user accounts or server-side access.

However, we reserve the right to restrict, suspend, discontinue, or terminate access to the App or any related services where technically available and legally permitted if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, misuse the App, or use the App in a manner that may cause harm to us, other users, third parties, platform providers, or the integrity of the App.

You may stop using the App at any time. You may also uninstall the App from your device.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, trademarks, logos, user interface elements, text, and materials provided through the App are owned by LakeSoft or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content you create or manage in the App, including your photos, videos, albums, album names, file names, and media metadata, remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your photos, videos, or personal media content.

Because the App is local-first, your content is stored on your device or in your device media library. We do not store your photos, videos, albums, or settings on servers operated by us.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you create, store, edit, move, copy, delete, print, set as wallpaper, or share through the App does not infringe the rights of any third party.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how the App accesses, processes, stores, and handles information.

SnapAlbum is designed to keep photo organization local to your device. We do not operate a backend that stores your photos, videos, albums, or personal settings.

Please review the Privacy Policy carefully before using the App.

9. Third-Party Services and Platform Features

The App may interact with your device operating system, app store, media library, share sheet, printing services, wallpaper services, email app, browser, and other apps or services selected by you.

The App may also use third-party libraries or platform components, such as camera, media, video playback, sharing, and on-device machine learning components, to provide App features.

We are not responsible for third-party apps, services, platforms, stores, operating systems, libraries, or websites that are not controlled by us. Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, and fees.

If you download or use the App through Google Play or another app store, the terms and policies of that store may also apply.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every device, or that every feature will work in every environment.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important photos, videos, albums, and device data. The App helps organize media on your device, but it is not a backup service or cloud storage service.

We are not liable for any loss, deletion, corruption, misplacement, or modification of photos, videos, albums, metadata, settings, or other data stored on your device, including loss resulting from user actions, app uninstallation, device failure, operating system behavior, permission changes, media library behavior, third-party app actions, or deletion of files.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages, losses, interruptions, or failures arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, network failures, security incidents, device failures, operating system changes, app store changes, third-party service outages, government actions, or other force majeure events.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to the App

We may update, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also release updates to fix issues, improve stability, change the user interface, respond to platform requirements, or comply with legal obligations.

Some updates may be required for continued compatibility with operating systems, app stores, device features, or third-party components.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice before the updated Terms take effect, unless immediate changes are required by law, security needs, platform requirements, or urgent operational reasons.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Age and Parental Guidance

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a minor's use of the App and for ensuring that any photos, videos, or other content created, edited, deleted, or shared through the App is appropriate and lawful.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
